Malegoat "To Face the Music" 12" Vinyl CYLS 153

Info

Malegoat, a maverick band born in Hachioji City, a part of Tokyo that pioneered a unique music scene, has reissued their debut album, "To Face the Music," released in 2010, to celebrate its 15th anniversary and be released on vinyl for the first time. Their unique texture, a fusion of their beloved Cap'n Jazz and Braid influences with locally-sourced DIY punk rock, produced a sound style unlike any other in Japan at the time. Coincidentally, Malegoat's musical style was linked to the "90s Emo Revival Movement" that was taking place in the US at the time that included artists like Algernon Cadwallader, Snowing, Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate), and Into It. Over It.

This latest release has been remastered by Ian Farmer of Modern Baseball / Slaughter Beach, Dog, giving it a polished sound.
