Incredibly excited to announced we signed Bottom Bracket. I first saw them when my band played a show with them on tour last year and it was one of those performances that mesmerizes you. I knew I wanted to sign them then and we were fortunate enough they agreed. New single soon!In the meantime, here is a bio for you:
Forget wearing your heart on your sleeve, Chicago's Bottom Bracket displays it like a flag draped over their whole body. Vocalist/guitarist Mario Cannamela voice propels feelings out like arrows, each missile hurled by all spectrums of human emotion. Bright catchy riffs soar over a rhythm section maned by Tim Recio (bass/vocals) and Rob Diaz (drums) that can stop on a dime before it blasts off again. Bottom Bracket is going to need your full attention so you can feel everything, even if it hurts.

Please welcome Polkadot to the CYLS roster! We are very, very excited to be releasing the bands sophomore album "...to be crushed" THIS MONTH! But first things first, a little about Polkadot:
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Polkadot began as a solo project by guitarist/vocalist Daney Espiritu. Their project blossomed into a full band consisting of Anton Benedicto on drums, Jordan Jones on bass, and Matthew Estolano on guitar. Inspired by 90s twee, emo, and a penchant for international pop, Polkadot makes music with a smile on the brink of emotional collapse.
Polkadot's CYLS debut LP "...to be crushed" oozes sincerity and charm in spades. On their sophomore album, the band alternates between a flurry of bright crunchy riffs to moments of subtle dynamics that really highlight the sincere and poignant vocals. It feels like there was a sense of urgency here, like the band knew they struck gold and couldn't stop until the vein was mined dry.

You can stream the band's newest single 'If There's Nothing Left to Say' at Brooklyn Vegan and pre-order the album on cassette now."...to be crushed" comes out digitally on 5/29/24 and the cassette will follow about a month later. So when you put in your pre-order, remember that you won't get the physical copy until about a month later. Those puppies are still at the plant being made.
