General: countyourluckystars@gmail.com

Before contacting us, maybe we can answer some of the following questions:

General:

Do you accept demo submissions?

We do not accept unsolicited demos, sorry.

I would love to intern for you! Do you have any positions open?

You may be in luck! Send an email to countyourluckystars@gmail.com with some information about yourself, what bands you are into, and why you want to be an intern. List some skills you have, like you know how to use Photoshop, etc. Skills rule. We’ll try and get back to you ASAP, but keep in mind we will only accept a few every semester.

I heard you accept various vintage videogames (NES, SNES, PlayStation, etc.) and board games (euro) in exchange for records/items, is that true?

Yes! We love those things and can totally work out a deal. Send an e-mail to countyourluckystars@gmail.com with your offer and we will go from there. For video games, we mostly love RPGs. Long live the barter system!

Can I put in a request for a certain item when I purchase a “Random Release”?

No, you cannot. That would no longer fall under the criteria of “random”. Please don’t request a release- you won’t get it.

I run/work at a zine/radio station/etc, can I get promos?

Email cylspress@gmail.com with the information on your business. Please put PR SUBMISSION [Name of company here]. Most likely we will not send out physical copies, but we are pretty free with digital copies.

I run a distro/record shop/etc, and I would love to carry your releases. Do you have a wholesale rate?

We certainly do! Email us at countyourluckystars@gmail.com, and we will send a list of in-stock items. We look forward to working with you!

Shipping:

Do you ship to my country?

Yes, we ship everywhere! Even Rand McNally, where they wear hats on their feet and hamburgers eat people

How much does shipping cost?

Put the items in your cart and it will automatically figure it out for you before check-out! It’s like magic, people!

Why does International Shipping cost so much?

Trust us, we know it costs a lot! The rates are set by USPS, not us. In the past few years, the rate of shipping has more than doubled, but unfortunately there isn’t anything we can do about it. USPS is still, by far, the cheapest option.

How long does it until I get my order?

We try and get orders off within 10 days of ordering. This a general rule of thumb, sometime it takes more, sometimes less. By getting your orders off, we are not talking about shipping process itself. Unless your order contains a shirt, your package is probably going media mail.

Any orders with a pre-order will not ship until ALL items are in stock. There is no exception for this.

You will receive an e-mail from PayPal letting you know it has been shipped. Before you e-mail us asking where your order is, please check the date the order was shipped. Here are the general delivery times for specific types of packages, once they are in the mail:

Domestic:

Media Mail: 5-14 business days

First-Class Mail: 5-10 business days

Priority Mail: 2-5 business days

International:

If it hard to really pinpoint a timetable on these, but expect it anywhere from a 1-4 weeks.

IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT AN ORDER, PLEASE SEND IT TO cylsrecords@gmail.com.

Do I get a tracking number?

Check your email or PayPal, and you should find your golden ticket. Note: if you get a notification that a package has been packed, it hasn’t necessarily shipped yet. This usually means it is sitting in office and we are about to make our way to the post office. Once it’s at the post office, you will get all the juicy deets you need.

Why is there candy in my order? Why isn’t there candy in my order? What are these circle things you keep giving me?

Whoa, whoa, slow down! There is candy in your order because candy rules. If you don’t like it, we bet someone you know does! Or make a friend! If there isn’t candy, well, not every package gets candy. Just most of them. You got the short end of the stick, bub. Life is a lottery.

The circle things are extra center labels that went unused in vinyl production. They are neat and we thought you might want them instead of just chucking them out. If you are really ambitious, that would make a great button, or badge for you weirdos that call “buttons” badges.

Return/Cancelation policy:

We cannot accept any returns that are older than 30 days. We cannot accept anything opened unless there is a defect with the item.

If you would like to return something and you meet these criteria, please message us at countyourluckystars@gmail.com with order details and any other pertinent information. Customer will have to pay for shipping to and from location.

I want to cancel an order. Will you send me a refund?

If your order has not shipped, sure! Send us an email with your order information and we will send the money right on back to you. You will also have to deal with the fact that you have made us all very sad. Every canceled order, an angel loses its wings.

My record is skipping, what gives?

We get an e-mail from time to time that a new record of ours is skipping. Sometimes this is the cause of a defective record, but more often than not, it is the case of your record player or something in the chain. You can usually fix the issue by adjusting the weight of the tonearm. Otherwise, check your needle, or that there isn’t any dust on the record.

If your turntable does not have an adjustable tonearm (most commonly a feature missing on a Crosley), then you are unfortunately out of luck. These models tend to cause a lot of problems and there isn’t really anything that can be done about it besides upgrading to a different unit.

If any of these things are not your issue, send an email/video to countyourluckystars@gmail.com with your order information and a brief explanation of what’s happening/where it’s skipping/etc.
