Joie De Vivre are like “The Wonder Years” for your 20s. Vocalist/bassist Brandon Lutmer’s frank and honest lyrics read like a documentary backed with the most sincere delivery- so you know he means it. The band moves from quiet to loud in a seamless transition, throwing power and distortion when needed and melody and clean guitars in between. Joie De Vivre were major players before this whole “Emo Revival” had a name, and they still are giants in the scene they helped create. Mineral and The Promise Ring would be proud.
