Bandcamp Friday returns for fall! 5 for $5 cassettes return too!
Posted on September 6th, 2024
It feels like forever since we last had a Bandcamp Friday, and ::checks notes:: it has been FOUR months! That is a long time! First things first, we made all digital name-you-own-price and this includes a lot of new things since last time- Inside Voices Deluxe by Colleen Dow, the Unsavory single from Bottom Bracket, ...to be crushed by Polkadot, O, brittle weather! by Drunk Uncle, and the JEFF Split featuring Mt. Oriander, Topiary Creatures, Superdestroyer, and Hey, ily!. That's a lot of music to catch up on!
As you may remember, every Bandcamp Friday we have a sale where we offer 5 items for cheap, and we have arrived at our second month of cassettes. We also brought back the 5 random cassettes for $20 and 5 12" vinyl releases for $50. All good stuff, imho.
Today's cassette sale features:
- Camp Trash "Downtiming+": Camp Trash are currently in the studio as we speak, crafting the next wave of indie pop/alternative hits that will take the world by storm next year. This cassette chronicles the demo process of their first EP, so it feels right to include this in the sale. Raw and juicy.
- Chet Wasted "Raspberry": Criminally underrated indie/folk from Jacob McCabe of the now defunct Perspective, a lovely hand to hold. FFO: Bob Dylan, Beach Boys
- Colleen Dow "Inside Voices": The first collection of songs from Thank You, I'm Sorry frontperson Colleen Dow. Indie-pop goodness. FFO: The Postal Service, Now Now
- Long Knives "The Subject": Lone full length from Bay area indie/emo rockers. FFO: Rainer Maria, Knapsack
- Singing Lungs "Mutter": Debut CYLS release from this Lookout punk-inspired band. FFO: The Replacements, Lagwagon.
We may have waited for four months, but Bandcamp Friday still only lasts 24 hours, so get your digital and physical goods before it's too late!
