Hooray! The first Bandcamp Friday of the year! First big news- WE HAVE A NEW SAMPLER! This sucker has 16 tracks from lots of our new releases and is a FREE download. Art by Frankie Yoshi. Find your new favorite CYLS band/release! Grab it/stream it here.
On to the sale! We are finally finishing off going through the last of all cassettes in our catalog. This month, we have 5 more cassettes priced at just $5 a piece. Actually, we have now gone through all the releases in our catalog in every medium, so we will have to figure out what to do special for the next Bandcamp Friday, haha. That is a problem for future me!
We are also featuring 5 random cassettes for $20 and 5 12" vinyl releases for $50. So many ways to save! To top it off, we've done the thing where all digital is name your own price (yes, even zero- although it makes us happier if you do a little more than that)
Today's cassette sale features:
- JEFF Split featuring Mt. Orander, Topiary Creatures, Superdestroyer, and Hey, ily!: 4 way split that swings from emo to indie rock to post hardcore. One song from each band, exclusive to this release.
- Kittyhawk "Mikey's Favorite Songs": Kittyhawk features members of Dowsing, Pet Symmetry, Joie De Vivre and Ratboys, but the pedigree holds up. They mastered the quiet to loud dynamic masterfully, from melodic tones to emotional walls of noise. FFO: Death Cab for Cutie, Jimmy Eat World, Penfold
- Mimisiku "The Thrill of Living": Features both members of Two Knights with a fleshed out and expanded sound. Sad but uplifting indie rock, this one is a gem. FFO: The Promise Ring, The Van Pelt.
- Thank You, I'm Sorry "The Malta House": Debut acoustic LP that launched Thank You, I'm Sorry. FFO: Snail Mail, Rilo Kiley, Now, Now.
- Tiny Blue Ghost "Between the Botanicals": Dreamy indie rock that paints pictures out of soundscapes with soaring vocals to match. FFO: Death Cab for Cutie, Great Grandpa
Other new releases you need to check out, you ask? Why the new Bottom Bracket LP "I'm So Afraid Of Where" and the new CYLS Split featuring Camp Trash, Expert Timing, Mt. Oriander, and Thank You, I'm Sorry. Those and like over 100 more, lol. Best get to listening!
Get the deals while you can because Bandcamp Friday still only lasts 24 hours! Sale ends at 3 AM EST/midnight PST.

You may already know some of John's other work with Snowing, Mt. Worry, or Bad Heaven. Galm is a talented and prolific musician and we celebrate every single project, but his solo work reaches you on another level. Raw and probing, it cuts straight to the bone.
'Summer After Work' is a teaser of more to come this year. We'll give you all the details soon enough, but we couldn't wait any longer for the world to hear this track. Grab your favorite drink, get cozy with a warm blanket and put this thing on repeat until then.
